Zena has been in practice for over 30 years and started her own practice 16 years ago. She has been in Sandton City since 1983 where she worked for a group of practices and ran the Sandton branch for 11 years before starting her own practice.
She has been involved in optometric affairs for most of her career sand was the first female president of the South African Optometric Association in 1999.
She then went on to start a network of independent optometrists that negotiated medical aid contracts on behalf of its members ensuring that the medical aids paid the optometrist directly for the spectacle claims instead of the patient having to pay.
She was CEO of the network from 1999 to 2008.
About Our Practice
We are situated on the first floor in Suite 124 on the Sandton City Medical Mews Building. Access is from the Banking Court Level (Level 5) opposite Standard Bank (next to the iStore).
We specialise in midrange-priced funky and interesting frames. We try to keep the costs within the medical aid and deal with most medical aids where we can claim on your behalf.
We have a workshop on the premises and in most cases can make your spectacles while you wait.
If you do not have medical aid cover, we have special low cost prices for single vision lenses, bifocals and multifocals. These packages include the consultation, frames and lenses. Just call us and we can discuss this with you.
