Zena has been in practice for many years, and through this time has gained a lot of experience in all spheres of optometry.
During the early part of her career, she was involved on many optometric boards creating optometry policies for the profession and was elected as the first female president of the South African Optometric Association.
She then went on to start a network of independent optometrists that negotiated medical aid contracts on behalf of its members to pay the optometrist directly.
She was CEO of the network and retired from optometric politics in 2017.
Since then she has been happily focusing on her own practice in Sandton City, turning it into a professional, thriving concern.
Her main focus is the clinical service, making sure that each patient gets a comprehensive, in-depth examination, no matter who they are or what they can afford.
About Our Practice
We are situated on the first floor in Suite 124 on the Sandton City Medical Mews Building. Access is from the Banking Court Level (Level 5) opposite Standard Bank (next to the iStore).
We specialise in midrange-priced funky and interesting frames. We try to keep the costs within the medical aid and deal with most medical aids where we can claim on your behalf.
We have a workshop on the premises and in most cases can make your spectacles while you wait.
If you do not have medical aid cover, we have special low cost prices for single vision lenses, bifocals and multifocals. These packages include the consultation, frames and lenses. Just call us and we can discuss this with you.
